Meet Ace...

Ace is my 2001 Honda Accord VTi. My baby. My pride and joy. The love of my life. He's not much but I love him with all my heart. I want to say that I bought him myself, but I didn't. Ha ha! My Dad got him for me. Well, it was actually for him but you know. Haha!

Before I go on about Ace, I have to tell you about my first car. It was a 1986 Mitsubishi Lancer Boxtype which my sister lovingly named "Lance" (very original by the way sis). Lance was my first love. He was the reason I got into cars. But I don't know where he is now. My Dad hired a mechanic to have him restored. They took him, and that's the last time I saw him. I'm still having a hard time talking about it and I'm starting to tear up, so I'll stop here. It still feels like I'm trying to get over an ex boyfriend. When I lost Lance, I decided to kick the car habit. Didn't wanna get hurt again. I know, I'm such a girl. Ha ha!

Then came Ace. We got him from my brother-in-law's Dad who was in the buy and sell business. I remember test driving Ace. I got disappointed when I saw it was AT but the moment I stepped on the gas, I didn't care anymore. Coming from a 1.4 L engine, that 2.0 L torque got me hooked. Then it dawned on me... I could easily fall in love with this car and I can't go through that again. I sound so dramatic but I'm so dead serious. Ha ha! I was a recovering car addict so I got really scared I might "fall off the wagon." And of course I did! It was inevitable. Couldn't fight it anymore. There was no point in fighting anyway when I know deep inside I already lost. Ha ha! So here he is. Meet my obsession...

Hot Import Nights 2 Manila

Okay, so I was really excited to go to this event since HIN 1 Manila last year. HIN 1 was pretty awesome. I remember thinking it was the dopest car show I've been to. I'd love to recall the cars I saw last year but my memory is wiped off by my fan girl moment with Hiromi Kajikuma. A drift queen. My heroine. Must insert picture.. Ha ha!
